Serving delicious classics that epitomise Teochew cuisine since 2011, Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine takes pride of place in the Chui Huay Lim Club on Keng Lee Road, one of the oldest clubs in Singapore, established by the Teochew community in 1845. The sprawling 4,000 square foot restaurant is the stage for a Teochew cooking at its finest: from uncomplicated lunches of “muay” (Teochew-style porridge) to exquisite seafood feasts. To ensure that the dishes remain true to the Teochew heritage, a Swatow-based food consultant was engaged—a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to authenticity.
The restaurant is famed for perennial Teochew favourites like Steamed Pomfret, Braised Duck, Cold Crab, Roasted Suckling Pig and the signature dessert of Yam Paste. Beyond classics, our menu also features new culinary creations which are periodically introduced to make every dining experience a unique one. What remains constant is a strict adherence to the traditional qualities of Teochew cuisine—one that stands out with a delicate simplicity and surprising depth.
The contemporary elegance of the restaurant’s interiors is accented with traditional décor elements that reflect Singapore’s rich history, of which the Teochew community was an inextricable part. With up to nine private dining rooms and a banquet hall that can accommodate up to 700 guests, it is perfect for events on varying scales from light-hearted karaoke sessions to grand weddings and corporate conferences.
